Warranty

From 01/11/01 all new Volkswagens either have a

3 year / 60,000 miles (which ever is sooner) warranty which protects

your car against the failure of most mechanical and electrical

components due to manufacturing defects. This comprises a standard

2 year manufacturer's warranty plus a 1 year Retailer Warranty.



This warranty cover is fully transferable and is subject to the car being

serviced and maintained at an authorised Volkswagen retailer

according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Failure to do so will

invalidate this warranty.



The 3 year unlimited mileage warranty is only available on vehicles

registered before September 1st 2000. These warranties are only

available on vehicles purchased in the UK through a Volkswagen retailer.



Vehicles imported from other countries, including those within the

European Union are not eligible for this 3 year unlimited warranty but

come with the standard 2 year manufacturers warranty. Extended

retailer warranty can be purchased through your Volkswagen retailer.
